2003 - F250 CC 4x4 - chipped and piped King Ranch.
Ok, here goes....I have owned this truck for about 3 months now and cannot figure out how the back seat folds down. I looked under the seat and do not see anything that would allow it to fold down. The original window stick indicates folding rear seat. Because it is a king ranch do they not fold down? The back only folds forward about 1ft or so, but not flat. Anyone else have this same issue?
On the crew cab the bottom part of the seat folds up and the back folds down. There are levers on the side of the seats for this. Separate levers for the bottom and the back.
On my 05 CCSB the seat backs fold forward, but not 'flat' horizontal. The seat bottoms fold up nicely so you can access the metal frame thingy that very few of us ever use. The lever is on the side of the seat as stated above.
It depends on whether your King Ranch has a bench seat or the Bucket Seats in the back. If you have the buckets in back they won't fold down. The bench seat will have the seat back fold down flat or the seat portion fold up with the fold out metal floor below.
I have an 03 King Ranch. The lever is almost hidden behind the seat belt/shoulder harness strap. On mine, the seat doesn't fold completely down...if you push on it, it'll go a little further but I really think these were designed to give us access to the behind the seat storage tray...the spare tire removal kit and storage area.
To my knowledge, my bottom bench doesn't fold anywhere...it doesn't move. If you really want a seat that folds completely down, you're gonna have to go find a different year model that's thinner (I wonder what the ride in the rear seat will be like with much less padding?) so that it can lay flat.
oops my bad... I hadn't seen an 04 with that option... seems i was misinformed...sorry... I would like to know if the flexfold seats fit in the non flex fold trucks to...
