Hey everyone! I got a camper shell for my 1973 Ford F250 Camper Special. It looks really great. Just washed it this morning! I bought it from someone who had it listed on craigslist. The camper shell is a 1988 Gem Top, with tinted windows (locking back window, sliding side windows, and sliding front window, and inside lighting). It was originally custom made for a 1978 F250 longbed, so it fit my truck perfectly.
All I have left to do is add some new weatherstripping between the bottom of the shell and the top rails of my bed (it leaks a little). And need to wire up the inside lights. There are two lights inside (one in the front and one in the back, with individual switches).
The camper shell is white in color. Got it for $200. I gave him $220, since it was such a good deal in my opinion. The camper shell is aluminum, not fiberglass.
I will post pictures at the earliest convenience! Probably sometime next week!
