check your heater , (avoid fire's)

i had today smoke come from my heater vents. within 5 seconds the entire cab was filled with smoke. shut it down and everything seemed to calm down. turned the ignition swith on and it started back up but not as bad. as soon as i turned off the heater it was all calm again.
long story short i found dead leaves in the heater by the rheostat and the blower motor. what happened was leaves in there got onto the rheostat and started to smolder. so do your self a favor and take out your blower motor and make sure everything is clean and free of leaves

Exactly. One my friends had the same thing happen on the highway and it turned out to be dead grass touching the blower motor resistor.
