Post Black with silver?

Hello everyone...This is my first post here.

I have just put together a Supercrew package and sent it off to my dealer so he can search around and see if we can get close without ordering it. Basically it's a 4X2 Lariat setup with the 5.4 and towing package. The color scheme that sounds like it would be awesome is the black with the silver as the lower color. But I have never seen an F150 painted like that. Anyone have one with a link to pics or has seen one and has an opinion?

Also what do you all think for running boards/steps? Factory or something aftermarket? Anyone have any cool ideas in that area I'd love to hear about it, because I think I'll probably get them for the wife and the youngster.

Oh here's another one I went back and forth on. The rear slider window. At first I just said yeah of course you always want that on a pickup. Then I remembered I probably won't be able to reach it from the front seat. Well I know they have a power slider but hey the budget ax has to fall somewhere and so that is just not going to make it. But how handy would you consider the manual slider on this type of truck?

Otherwise I am just drooling over this thing and can't wait to get it.

Thanks,

Scott

Saw 2 of them painted like that today in the same parking lot. One was a 4x4. I think you will like it.

There was two in the parking lot when I left from work tonite...its cool but when I got mine I remembered how hard it was to keep my 77 looking clean (its jet black) and got the dark blue...its just as hard. Anyway they look sharp. Whit

I own a 2002 black and silver Supercrew Lariat and I think it looks great. I installed the tubular chrome Ford sidebars, and they look great also. I have the sliding rear window, and if I had it to do over I would rather have the solid window with the rear defrost option. The only other option I miss is heated mirrows. hope this helps.

Post Black with silver?

Thanks to everyone for the replies.

To the guy who mentioned keeping it clean. I drive a black T-bird right now ('96) and I owned a black '88 Turbo Coupe, best damn car I ever owned...could kill myself for trading it in...anyway, so I know all about black showing the dirt and scratches. But when she's washed up you just can't beat the look of black IMHO.

Thanks for the heads up on the slider versus the defrost on the solid window, that's a good point.

I like the tubular rails. I picked up an accessory brochure from the dealer and saw those. They also have them in black and in the brochure they have a red truck with the black ones, looks sweet.

One thing I am finding out is there are damn few Lariats in 4X2 on dealers lots. I'll probably wind up with an XLT which would not be the end of the world by any stretch.

Thanks,

Scott
