In the process of cleaning my '04 SD 250, the keypad opened the door by simple repetitive use of a button. The button was not part of my code, it opened everytime I tried it, including the time I took it to the local Ford dealer. The dealership owner and the service manager were startled. Their 'keypad wizard' concluded that the security system was not Ford (what?????). We examined all the visible parts of the system and all had the familiar blue oval and 'Ford' script along with other identifying markings. The 'wizard' was able to reprogram the 'non' Ford security system with little trouble, I suspect using the training Ford may have supplied for 'their' system that I did not have.
Bottom line here is, if you have a keypad entry system, the same condition may exist on yours????? I noticed my keypad code card told me that the code was permanent, but the local 'wizard' had no trouble modifying it. Might pay to look into the possibilty of at least a similar programing glitch in your keypad.............

It is my understanding that the keypads can be programmed with an additional code, but the one that came with the truck on the little card will always work.
With the Ford factory keypad you can program in an aditional number of your choice (the original number will also keep working). It sounds to me like the last owner programed in a real easy code so that they only had to press something like "77777" to unlock the truck.
Also you don't need any special Ford training to reprogram the keypad. You might want to try cracking open the owners manual of your truck.

I bet that is exactly what happened. You need your original "permanent" code to change or reprogram the second code. Hopefully your dealer gave that to you or they reprogammed it with a code to your liking.
You still should have the original code written somewhere though in case you want to ever change your optional code.
(Like say you give it to your girlfriend and then later on down the road she is no longer your girlfriend and you don't want her having access to your truck)
As usual, I managed to get in on the tail end of things......according to the tone of the above comments, some of you fellows have been there or are at least familiar with how these things function. I do still have my original keypad code, and as to the instruction manual, I have read AT it, but when the card said it couldnt be changed, I didnt think there was much point. The main thing that bothered me was the insistance of the 'keypad wizard' and his boss that my system was not a Ford item, when all the components said Ford on them!!!!! They told me a dozen time is a 20 minute span that it was an aftermarket while refusing to acknowledge 'Ford' on the visible parts.
Anyway, the important thing here is that at least some of the site users were warned of at least one system that wasnt doing good!!!!!!!!
Where is the computer in the cab I just bought a used F150 FRX and the dealer did not know the code and i would love to know the code.
On my '05 F250 it up high under the dash in the middle. I can look up under the dash and see the numbers easily, they are on a sticker and are in large print.
If you include the year of your F150 someone here may be able to help you better. Some trucks have the computer in the left rear corner of the cab.

Or should I say I just stumbled into finding this "keypad glitch"! I was just trying to open my truck with the regular code when I accidentally pressed the number 1•2 number a few to many times (because my code started with pressing 1•2 two times) followed by accidentally pressing pressing 3•4. I then thought to my self WHAT!!!!! So I tried recreating the event, I just started jamming the number 1•2 button while pushing the 3•4 button every 3rd, 4th or 5th time, as I jammed (pressed vigorously) the buttons I got the truck open time after time, video to prove it! Now I'll have to try this on another truck with a key pad to see what's up! But wow, just wow...

P.S. This truck had a brand new for Body Control Module last year which came with a new factory keypad code card, just like the card the came with the truck but a totally new and different code, so there was no trace of my old factory number and a second code I programmed in, because the module with the codes programmed into was replaced with a new factory ford module, I never programmed a new code into my new Body Control Module, I only use the factory code that came with the new card, so riddle me that!
