I drive 70+ on the Interstate and Freeways. Most of my driving is less than 50 around town.

I second that. If my RPM creeps above 2k, the MPG drops dramatically. Running over 65MPH brings the RPM above 2K.

If I was to drive less than the posted speed I would get run of the road. The posted speed west of Kerrville, Texas is 80 on I-10. I don't consider myself a speed demon. I usually drive about 5 mph over the posted speed so that I am not blocking traffic.

The fastest hwys in VA are 65. Most that I drive on are 55, with a realistic speed of 60. 55-60 is the sweet spot (on my rig) for mileage.

Well there you have it. u get to drive 80 and I get better mileage. Wana trade I can always jump on the Bike at 50 MPG if I want mileage. But that POS would not haul the toy hauler worth a dam though. It belongs inside

I can get over 20 mpg in my 06 F350 lariat crew cab short bed if I drive at 65 and go easy. I will say that my 6.0 gets better milage then my 7.3 ever did ever! I loved my old truck and I liked my 7.3 but if this 6.0 stays running long enough and keeps up this good milage I sure wont be sad I sold the old truck
