The inane drivel is saying you get 22.5 mpg in your title, when you obviously don't.

Why all the hate? Why would I lie about it?

When most normal people post their mileage, they say "I get 16 mpg" or whatever.

Most people take the miles they drove for an entire tank (or multiple tanks) and divide it by the gallons they put into the tank when they fill it up.

I don't hate, but it seems misleading is all. Anyone can say they got 27 mpg going downhill with a tailwind, you know? Leaving out the part when you get 6 mpg going up the next hill is...

As I have written, the 22.5 was over a >3hr hwy trip from Staunton to Gloucester, VA. This includes crossing the Blue Ridge Mtns (Mt Afton).

I really do not care but I am not sure why you are commenting because you do not even have the same motor.

I am very pleased with the vehicle to include the MPG.

Dave.

I'm happy you get the mileage you get.

I look at a lot of the forums here, and was curious about the title, so I read your post and was disappointed, so I felt the need to comment.

Read my post #22, He is not saying he gets that milage all the time. Just it is possible with his gearing, transmission and on that particular trip.

If I press the reset button on the interstate and keep it at 65 on my way to work, I can get about 19 or so. Whole tank hand calculated average is ~16.5 if I drive it like a grandpa. If I drive it normal, it's about 15. BTW, if I reset my trip computer at fillup, it's within 1/10 mpg accurate.

I had a 3 hr drive from Gloucester to Va Beach and back. The speed was 60-65 via cruise. On this trip, I reset the MPG computer as entering the on-ramp and got 25.2 MPGs. I know some will say I am lying but that is the truth.

During my last refill, my hand calc, with mostly city driving, I got 17.8 MPGs.

Flame Away.

Dave.

Thumbs up South Carolina to Va. Beach 19.3 at 70

I drove home this past weekend on interstate 95. Filled up the tank just before getting on 95. Set the cruise at 70 and let her go. Filled up after getting off the interstate at home. Computer said 19.3 hand calulated at 19.457. I actually took a cell phone pic of the dash dislpay, because I have seen alot of people doubt good mileage. If I can just figure out how to down load the picture I will post it.
