Has anyone been watching this yet? Yesterday was day two. They start with entry level cars and work their way up and just sprinkle in a few higher end ones. A 1971 429 Torino went for $100000. I thought there was some stuff that was of lower quality that would not have made the show a few years ago.
Ya it was! Just watched a black 1956 F100 go for $75000. Under the hood - a crate Chevy 502
As good as the engine sounds, why would the guy not use a Ford Racing crate engine instead (isnt there a 514?). I just think it would be more impressive that way. I would probably personally biuld a HOT HOT 429 and use that!!
Ford has a few bigger crate engines. Alot of guys like those damn chevy engines in there fords though.
I dunno about the whole barret jackson thing, it seems to bring nice nice vehicles but alot of time the prices seem like they just skyrocket on there, good for sellers, bad for buyers!

I dont understand that - whatever make the vehicle is, thats the engine I would want!
Anyone on here have a Chevy powered Ford?????
Sorry Boss - I just couldnt resist!!! Might have to buy a beer for that smart *** remark!!!
You know I am just juicing you - I would love to have a vehicle like yours!!!

I couldn`t agree more.
I know it`s too bad about the T, still it`s a sweet rod and life`s like that sometimes.
The kicker is that when it was it was first made into a rod in the 70`s it had a 428 FE!
We can buy each other a beer.....Coming to the Draggins?
