Alright so I'm currently rebuilding my front end, including axle, spindles, kingpins, spring shackles, etc...
Everything is pretty straightforward besides how to get the metal collar (which used to be part of the original shackle's upper bushing) in this piece out:
What you are looking at is the front spring's front shackle top mount piece, which is riveted to the frame. When I originally hammered the old bushing out, the rubber insert just twisted and essentially distintegrated, but this outer collar remained in there. Obviously I can't position a vice in there (or I don't have the right type) to press it out as I have done for the leaf springs on the bench.
So what do you guys think? Penetrating oil is a no go.. How about some heat or what?

I'm no expert here my friend but maybe a nut, a bolt and 2 big washers to push it in ???? push the bolt through the hole with a washer on one side then slip the bushing on the other side and use the washer then the nut to leverage it in ????
