New Steering Wheel!

Were there any steering wheel or shaft changes in the Navigator or Excursion from year to year? A future project would be to change the wheel on the 03 I am in the process of getting. So if I could find a great deal on a wheel like this I would want to know ahead of time if it works.

I actually don't remember, he bought his Navigator about a month before I bought my X.
We compaired them one day out in my driveway. Seems like it was some of the interior trim.
I just looked at an 09 Navigator Sunday or I think it was an 09 anyways it was new, cost 51640.00 and I was amazed how nice the interior was in it. The woodgrain was the oak colored finish.
I have been meaning to look one over again for some ideas on upgrades interior wise.
I have also been looking for a King Ranch truck to see what they have on them maybe an emblem or two.

i dont remember about shaft changes but the way i found out was,,,,,,,, i looked the part number for the steering wheel and found the years it fit. i then compared the part number for the shaft for the years of the navigator to the shaft part number on my X. i do know that the shaft part numbers did change on the newer trucks. you can always check and see if the shaft part numbers are the same from an 01 X and an 03 X. the wheels may look the same but the spline count may always change.
