Hello All,
I have been on this site reading for a while but my first post. Yesterday I had an accident when I went down a narrow road and hit mirrors with a van. I knew it was going to be close and the van didn't slow down. Well the only thing that was damaged was the orange blinker lens on the driver's side mirror. These are the tow mirror type. I was trying to find some information as to how much trouble it will be to replace this lens and where to purchase them besides Ford. I am not to good navigating on this site. I am sure this has been addressed before. This is a 2005 Lariat FX4 super duty truck.
Any help would be apprecated!

I got a set of replacements from Dfuser and I still have not put them on I plan on next weekend if I can park the truck for an hour or so.
I will let you know how it goes.
The dfuser lens looks nice
You cannot buy the amber lights from Ford by themselves. You have to buy the whole black mirror back with the light already installed (I think they run about $70 from our sponsors).
Looks like around 100.00 to purchase replacement lens. Is there any instructions on replacing the lens? How much trouble is it to replace? Gp42gpw please let me how much trouble it is to install when you do it & good luck! Beerstalker did you replace your lens yourself?
I went to the Dfuse & Gorecon web sites and the smoked lens look pretty good.
Thanks all for the replies!

I purchased the recon lenses from Amazon.com for $78 and I think I got free shipping. They come with instructions, and it is pretty easy. You just adjust the mirror all of the way to one side, then use a long screwdriver to release a couple of clips that are behind the mirror, then turn the mirror all of the way to the other extreme and do the same on that side. This releases the entire back of the mirror and you pull it off (after unplugging the electrical connector) then replace the lens and replace the mirror back.
