Alright which ones is better the micro tuner from super or the regular edge my cousin has one i can pick up for 200.00. Im not sure if the edge has the diagnostics on it or not. Please help
GET READY, for the DP-TUNER. I ran Superchip for 4 years. I will not use that word in the same sentance with DP-TUNER, there is that much difference. Call Jody and he will fix you up.
On the other hand, if you buy one of those, buy the cheapest one because you will understand what I am saying later.
Good luck, I am not telling you this because the others are bad. I am saying this because DP-TUNER is sooooo good.
Is it the Edge Evo or the Juice? The Juice is worth all of $200 to a lot of people. I am with Rick. My DP rocks, but you don't need to listen to a bunch of parroting on that. Like I said in the last tuner post, I would only go with the Edge if I wanted autobackdown bc a lot of other people were using my truck ie employees or buddies that "just want to see what it can do". But the DP rocks, it will smoke my uncles Superchit that he is running.
If it is the Juice buy it from your cousin and sell it on eBay. It will go for way more than $200 on there. Take the money you made and save it for a DP.
BTW The DP will end up costing more in the long run bc of the supporting mods. The off the shelfs are so crappy they dont even need an exhaust to keep them from getting way to hot. The DP will also cost more bc of PMS. Once the truck is that tough you will want to buy more stuff and make it more powerful
I disagree with sflem849 about not needing guages with the edge or superchip:
You can get high EGT's with any programmer. If you have a stock turbo, you will also want to moniter your boost so you do not exceed 25lbs of boost. If you want your engine to last, get a set of guages with whatever programmer you decide to got with. BTW, I like Dp-tuner, I had a bully dog powerpup before I purchased my DP-tuner and it is night and day. No over te counter product can compete with Dp-tuner IMO. Yout basicaly getting custom tuning. Tell Jody what you need.

I know you should have them, but the Dmax guys I know running the Edge Juice can't even get their egt's to 1200 empty. I have never seem them pulling the tractor. You should always have them. Remember the Juice does come with them, although this is a whole nother debate on how accurate boost and trans temp are.
I agree if you have to choose from the lessor of two evils, the Edge would be a better buy. I bought the SC Microtuner three days after I bought my truck. And since it was the only gig out there besides Banks, I paid all the money for it. It was awsome, until better things came out. Then it was a bummer because I had to take a huge hit on it selling used.
The SC tuner has 200º+ higher EGT's and wastes fuel compared to the Edge and especially the DP.
