Pre Smog timing

Pre Smog timing

when you run the early "pre smog" timing set on a 79 460,what do you set your timing at,and what RPM?

With the straight up 0 degree set I would run it between 8 and 10 degrees intial advance. Use a vacuum gauge and timing light to get it perfect.

I started it yesterday,ballparked the idle,set it at 10BTDC,the fuel is probably a year old though.
