you will need to get 1" spacers for the difference in backspacing. the excursions all had leaf springs. the 05X are the same as the rest of them. there is a guy on here that spent some $$$$ to get a set of really good spacers for his...
hopefully someone here will chime in... the guy who got the spacers said that they were very stout, heavy, and premium quality pieces. my guess is that they cost about $400/set.
I called my local tire shop (Les Schwab Tires) and they don't sell spacers and they won't install them due to liability reasons. I'm not willing to chance sending my wife and kids down the road with the potential of a wheel falling off.
Don't buy thoses wheels because I'm being told they won't fit. Learn from my expensive mistake.
97 I have been told spacers are dangerous and can be cumbersome when having to work on brakes. I dont have them and my guy tells me never to go with them. They can rust in place and be a bitc_ to get off if needed.
they aren't really considered spacers, more like adapters. but in this case, they are adapting to the same pattern. they dont just install between your wheels and rotros using just your lugs. the adapters bolt to the truck using the factory lugs and then the new wheels bolt to the adapters with an additional set of lugs. they are without a doubt, heavy duty and safe to run on our trucks.
I'm going to mount them with out the spacers and see if they rub or how bad they rub. Maybe they will bolt on and not rub much???
I think they will be too far inboard. But if it works out well, please let us know. I will be on eBaY ordering new tires and wheels real quick. I want the wheels just like the ones in the subject I pointed out.
I found some 20" aftermarket rims off a 06 f 250 truck will they fit my 05 ex?? thanks
The key word with 97RED is AFTERMARKET... these wheels might fit your 05 X... it all depends on your backspacing.

Key word in this is OEM (take-offs). Yes, they'll bolt right up to your 05 X, but, they will rub without the spacer/adapters.
I know this... I too went the route of high1 and followed his lead... I aquired the same spacers & wheel combo and test fit them in November. I'll going to run them in nice weather only. Here's a pic of mine.

VaSherrif, I have those exact wheels somewhere on a UHL truck being delivered to me! My X is the mineral gray and it would look just like high1's X. I've decided to sell them as soon as they get here. I sent you a PM.
71-4R3SONS,
Those look amazing I agree the absolute best combination on the X. I really like your color combo with those wheels...
I also have new studded snow tires on my factory wheels and want to run 20" summer tires.
