Gotta start by sayin hello, I'm the new kid (old man) on the block. Just purchased a 98 f150 4x4 and I would appreciate some insight. My old 94 had the 4x shifter on the floor and could not be engaged while moving, does this hold true with the 98 with the dah buttons? Also I'd appreciate any heads up on possible problems to this year. Are exhaust manifold problems normal on these? Truck has 83000 orig. I've been out of the automotive loop to long to profess to knowing much about anything past 90ish. Thanks for any help 4.6 engine

Reason: Forgot to say what engine
The buttons are easy to use so long as you're not going a 100 mph down the road and even then they probably would engage. It's a good idea to engage it once a month for a few miles so that things don't get neglected. The 5.4 has manifold bolt issues and needs to be watched.
