One of the best things that you can do for the truck to increase MPG would be to change the oxygen sensor.

And changing the fuel filter--as already suggested-- would be good to help the fuel pump live.

On the trailer.

Runs pretty well, theres either a vacuum leak or its idling high because of bad gas.

For the bad, Probably going to buy a new bed for a salvage yard, the tech school he works at is going to paint it for free.

The brakelines are finished, next I found that the passenger side spring shackle is snapped and the spring is sitting in the bottom of the bed, I figure I should replace both side.

It doesnt matter--most if not all oxygen sensors are made by Bosch. Even the oxygen sensor I got from the Ford Parts guy at the dealer was made by Bosch.

Check & see what a body shop would charge to patch that in.

That would be real nice if you had them do it. Maybe if you tell them the story they get that good feeling in their hearts & volunteer.

Well theres not that much work to do on the truck. Anyone that sees it that knows what there doing would be more likely to volunteer knowing its not a 300 hour project. Maybe you could trade somehow. Their labor & you'll do something for them. Good luck. keep us informed.
