When the snow trip is in the process of development, I will check on availability of tickets. Give me a date and I'll do what I can to facilitate. If that date doesn't work, then I will look at option 2.
remember, week days are better, as most folks can't get away on weekdays, so the chances of getting tickets are better.

I would take a weeday or two off to do this...we're busy as hell right now trying to keep the project moving along but I think I'm owed some time off...

Nah, don't work that way on this one Jim. The guy drives a Toyota...

But guys, I just found out that I may be able to get more than just the 4 tickets.
You guys let me know for sure what and when.

Karl, I'll send you a PM.

Heh heh, $20 bucks is what Tim will charge to park in his yard and walk the hill behind his house, slide down, walk up again, slide down, walk up again . . .

$5 for hot chocolate, 7$ for beer and $2 to light the tire fire.

Actually that is a very good price for a lift these days. Where is it?
I might be able to swing a run dowh that way depending on day and weather.

There is a snow park west of Kirkwood if I remember correctly. We could play a little on the snowy paths there. Kirkwood is awesome. My favorite place to ski when I was sking a lot. Funny, I've been running lately to strengthen my core and legs for such a trip. I'm thinking about the first of March I'll be ready to go for a weekend. I might try a day trip in a couple of weeks to see if I have the legs still.

AJ hamming it up. ;-)

Great idea .... subscribing..... Going in on a place to stay would be a good idea too !!

Check here for the sno parks. It looks like if your going to take your truck off road that you'd need a permit.

I think the one I was thinking of is Iron Mountain.

Jim - Does that sound right?

AJ, Looks like there are a couple of snow parks in the Kirkwood area.

I think I'll be picking up one of those passes on Thursday morning. I'll post up on the snow conditions on Friday, if I'm not too sore and snookered up on NSAIDS and beer. Anyone else?

Looking at it closer and remembering. Those snow parks would be great for us if we snow mobile, cross country ski, sled, tube etc... But, the only 4WD in snow would be getting there and back if it snow or that one that has the roads back into it. I do not think they plowed that one very often so it's a 4WD trip in it's own most time. That's the one I remember and I had a lot of fun through there in my Powerwagon a few years back.

I'm doing some ski conditioning every other day. My legs were killing me last night from the running and all. I highly recommend if we're going to do this that we all at least do a few walks between now and the end of the month to make sure we are strong enough for the tasks.

Agreed. You don't want to go out there and blow out a knee. Idle joints tend to get a bit wimpy from lack of use.
Like I said above, I'm heading out tomorrow to check out the snow and get my legs warmed up a bit. I don't plan on anything challenging at all. Just a relaxing stroll down the hill, so to speak.
Since nobody responded when I asked if anyone else interested in going, I only acquired one pass. I can probably still get another if anyone wants me to, but don't waste too much time. They're going fast right now with all the new snow on the hill and all. The pass I just picked up had just arrived back in from todays issuance. I happened to be at the right place at the right time this evening, to pick one up. There were a few more that had come in at the same time though.

I think Karl and Dan might go.... They were talking about it. Maybe others. I just so happen to be seeing them both tomorrow. I think we are planning end of month trip. Is this what you were thinking?

I think we were going to talk about a actual date tomorrow. I'll post the results or have Karl (Fastmover) post up when I'm at his place tomorrow. If I post it up it most likely will be Friday.

I've got the end of the month penciled in too, but I am going to bust away on a more spontaneous trip tomorrow. Kind of short notice, I know, but I thought I would throw it out there just in case anyone was up for a spur of the moment get away.

That's great that you guys are meeting up tomorrow. Cool, I'll be checking to hear from ya'll about the snow trip meet that we have been talking about doing, for the end of February. Keep me posted on what you guys come up with. I think you all have both of my telephone numbers, but I will be on the slopes tomorrow so I probably wont get a voice mail until tomorrow evening. I'll check FTE too, after I get home.
