Rock Crawlin' and River Crossin' ain't my trucks job. I use it to tow a boat. But I do like seeing nice lifted trucks with big mudder tires. Most of them are "city wheelers" though, and never been off the pavement. But Hey, to each his own.
Enjoy your hunt up in Winslow. Get a real trophy. Good Luck.
Rubicon hadn't even crossed my mind. My first choice for jeep but didn't know they did Ford. They are excellent quality and engineering. There web site has some nice Ford suspension kits. Thanks for the idea.
No problem! The reason I went with a leveling kit over a bigger lift is because I need to be able to use my truck. Hell, Im 6'4" and I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get stuff in and out of the bed with even a 4" lift and 35's. Another good thing about the RE kit is it does leave you with enough room for 35's if you choose to go that route. Im staying closer to 33's for the fuel mileage and cost per tire. Good luck, check out my gallery for pics of my truck with the kit installed. Should be the last few in the gallery.
I have a Pro-Comp leveling kit and it lifted it 3" in the front so I also have F350 blocks in the rear and it sits nicely.
Not to hijack but with a leveling kit and f350 rear blocks does the rear still sit higher then the front? I want a leveling kit but still want the rear higher then the front. I know "then its not a leveling kit". I tow and still want it to sit level when hooked. Again sorry for the hijack..
Ive had bad experiences with both Rough Country and Dick Cepek. Both times the left spring has given me problems, RC sagging about 2" bringing it back to stock and giving me a goofy stance. Dick Cepek spring broke the second shortest leaf and now its a safety hazard as well as looking goofy. I pulled the good RC spring out of the scrap metal pile, and im going to put that on the left side and have mismatched springs for the time being. Ill look into the valley springs.
