It runs the same as it did before I put it on. I did notice it muffles the sound a little bit. If you dont like the 2x6 then use a 4x6 pipe. I just used this because its what I had laying in the scrap pile. I put this on in July of '03.
i must say, i'm surprised that your EGT's don't get out of control, but if it's cheap and it works then use it right? i'm like that on a lot of things as well.
The stacks that were in my truck when I bought it had a similiar set up with 3x3 tubing in the bed with a hacked up 3.5 inch stock exhaust under the truck. When I removed that system and built my side pipe with 5" from the DP out I dropped 50°. There are a few different variables to the set up but mine with a tubing like that wasn't the best flowing deal. I think the biggest thing was it had a 3 inch inlet and 3 inch or so outlets to each stack.
I can't wait to redo my stacks and get them back on!! Took my topper off Thursday so hopefully stack in a month or so.
just finished my stacks too but I only did 4" stacks and made them myself out of 3" emt 90* bends and painted the pipes exept for the tips with BBQ and stove high temp paint but forgot the one major thing! a flex pipe! man does it rattle oops might be the bolt that my son dropped in there oops any suggestions on getting it out? I have tried a magnet on a string but knew that wasn ' t going far in a metal pipe lol
