Damn guys, those wheels are better then 90% of the stuff we have and see I'm sure. I'll admit I don't love them either but it's not the wheels it's the rather low profile tires and on a tall white truck. If the truck was a little lower and black they'd be a bitch'n combo.

For the money anyone who passed that up would be dumb, even if ya don't end up liking them then sell them and make some profit. I see he's got a 84 F250HD 4x4 that already has 35s, no idea what it looks like but they might be totally awesome on it if it's a dark color and stock height. Might be a perfect trade.

I think big wheels just look bad on our trucks. 18 is as big as I'd go.

My truck came stock with 20'' wheels, I think that's the tallest size with 65 series tires

what it is,is a modern style item on a classic body style (anything pre-99 / dodge copy cat.) be it the more modern door mirrors, things like roof lights,or large rims (im not even a fan on anything, but they do fit modern vehicles much better) it's just always going to look out of place.no way around it.some things just don't go with classic bodies.

Some things just need to stay classic. I saw a set of cravat as wheels, kind of like the torque thrust 2s in a 5.5 bolt pattern and thought with the right back spacing they would look sweet with my 33s and some nicer brakes behind them.

So the fact I could've gotten a set of chrome or black rims, and 33's or something similar tires for roughly the same money, makes me dumb?

Interesting...

No worries Wes, no one said any one was dumb, just a figure of speech........... the fact is we don't like 22'' black wheels on a white truck......... the beauty is that Chris can take them off......

Many awesome trucks posted lately. I love seeing everybody's different trucks, makes me really want to get started on mine. Hopefully I can get a start on it this week.

Chris, that is a sweet looking truck. In my opinion, those rims definitely look out of place, but for some reason I don't think they look too bad. I hate to say this, but maybe they would look worse in person. I don't know, I usually don't like big rims like that especially on older trucks, but they don't look terrible. Maybe its because they're black and I think that if they were chrome they would look really bad. Like everyone else said its the big, modern looking rim on a classic looking truck that just doesn't look right. But don't worry its still an awesome looking truck. And I don't really have a problem with black rims on a white truck, I kind of like the look on the right truck.

Lol Chris, you truck sparked quite a controversy, if you enjoy the truck, keep them. Personally I prefer other style, but that was a sweet deal, I wouldn't have passed it either, but probably thinking on getting a profit out of it and to cover tire/wheels of my liking.

Well I don't know if it is a necessarily a controversy, but definitely could be everyone just voicing there own opinions. But like Encho said, as long as you like it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks, its your truck you can do what you want to it. Its still sweet truck no matter what.
