I would say styleside. I suppose it depends on how you use your truck. The only thing I know about your truck in particular, is that it sees a LOT of mud. I like the look of the box much better than a flatbed and I think that the only plus to having a flatbed is the cargo capacity. But that's just me.

If I were building a flatbed from scratch, and didn't need the maximum width possible, I'd fab it up to the width of the cab, contour the headache rack as close to the cab contour as possible, and have built in toolboxes underbed with contours appropriate for the cab. Might do that last part to this one anyway.

I'm thinking of putting work lights over the cab on the headache rack. Then I think I'll like it more.

ROFL, thanks guys. I appreciate yall.

And it's a 3'' body lift, not 4''.

I actually wish I had a flatbed.. When done right, flatbeds look amazing, and of course they're extremely usable

There used to be a really cool red 93 F150 short bed with a home made flat bed that looked like it was made by a company and fit perfectly.

I think that flatbeds are great, if they serve a purpose you need them to.

I'll stick with a regular bed.

Ty, there's a guy that goes around here with an older F-150 with a flatbed. The truck looks like it's a late 80's model, maybe. Beautiful red paint. The flatbed is gorgeous with wood trim sides. I really wish I could take a picture of it and put it on here.

done right they can look very slick...theres a guy lives across the back alley from me has a maroon 87-91 f150 ext cab with a visor and a flatbed and it looks great...way better than a box would...and ive seen a black one in single cab 92-96 style and it was straight up beautiful...i plan on painting my truck darker blue too so i think a flatbed would look wicked with the big black winch bumper and diamond plate stuff i plan on doing...

yeah id only go cab width...this truck is soon to be retired as DD and used for toy/hunting...mountains = rocks/trees = excessive body damage...with a flatbed theres less body to damage. And i wanted a rollcage with lights on it but they take up way too much space in a short box but wouldnt in a flatbed...and i was thinkin build in OHV ramps and a 3k winch at the front for hauling big game (elk, moose, bear, ect.) up onto the deck....and i want those cab marker lights too...i have a vision its hard to describe...but i tink it shall be damn sexy when/if i ever finish hahaha

these projects...they never end
