I see on on the youtube description that you have Skyjacker Softride springs. How do you like them not for their lift capacity, but for their overall build, ride quality, and weight bearing capacity. I'd like to replace my springs someday with Softrides, but I'm not really looking for a lift. I'm more interested in the ride quality improvement (if the name holds true)

If you're spending bucks on a regear, you might want to get an elocker or air locker and skip messing with LS entirely...

Thanks TexasGuy, she gets a few double takes around here still. I know you personally also like the fact there is no lift, I have read a few of your post. 1 1/2 leveling kit, and trimmed the ends off the bumber ........ although I have been getting the itch, for the past three years (lol) to raise her up 4" - 6".

Brother I love my Powertrax, I have no complaints at all, but I have baby tires compared to yours. I don't know how the Powertrax would hold up to 35'' tires.
The difference between a locker and an open diff is getting stuck on wet grass(2wd) or being able to tear through mud and muck in 2wd.
A 4x4 with a locker in the rear... Doesn't get any better than that.
Does Detroit make a locker for the 8.8? Just get the strongest locker you can find.
Also, the El Camino has the same Powertrax locker and it's pushing 350 horse and torque with a 4.11 gear. I reckon the Powertrax is pretty tough?

im broke thanks to school, kinda limits my options
Take a look here. I prefer limited slip for vehicles that spend most of their time on the street or are daily drivers. They operate much more smoothly. I have had lockers before, and won't mess with them again unless its more of a mud truck or something. In my daily driver no way.

i hate you guys and your purdy trucks just kidding...but i think you should put a pinstripe in there to seperate the colors that would look cool...
when i do my resto (this summer hopefully) i am painting it auora blue keeping that black stripe but with maybe silver pinstriping around it...then i have an old ford tailgate with the big bold "FORD" stamped into it and im gonna paint the letters black with the silver outline
i want to learn airbrush too and maybe play around with that a little...doing it all myself so i dont cry when i scratch it...cause i will
lookie lookie what i found the other day....nearly kissed the gorund when i saw this....no idea when it happened but being a short box there was no difference in ride what so ever, a light clunking now and then but hardly
the bolt was put in the wrong way and hooked on the hanger and snapped...the other side is that way too but the bolt has somehow worn its way though the hanger a little bit...bent the bolt a bit not broken...new bolt next time im at the shop...
got a $57 ticket for no mudflaps...so i had to spend $66 so i dont get another one funny thing...i passed a writen off vehicle inspection less than 3 months prior to the fine...i think i should take it to court...then at least i might make the shop pay the ticket

I really like this truck. It looks great.
Looks awesome. Have you though about pin stripes like the factory did between body colors?
EDIT: I just realized someone else thought the same thing about the stripes.
