Thanks TexasGuy, she gets a few double takes around here still. I know you personally also like the fact there is no lift, I have read a few of your post. 1 1/2 leveling kit, and trimmed the ends off the bumber ........ although I have been getting the itch, for the past three years (lol) to raise her up 4" - 6".

What part of Texas you from, I live in Denton.

I like that black, it matches my '87... it doesn't show dirt quite as well as the dark, glossy, factory black.

I ordered it on Feb 22, 1997, delivered Apr 17 1997.
Everthing is original, including the factory paint job,
except the following:
New Brakes, New Front Gas Tank
Battery, Bug Deflector Shield, Pinstripe
*Pioneer Super Tuner III Stereo, *Pioneer 10" Truck Subs,
*Pioneer 5 1/4" door speakers, *Pioneer 300W Amp
(*all purchased in 1998 and still jams)
Tires and Wheels (Original Wheels also that were purchased in 1997)

I have the reciepts for everything I have bought on her

Wowsa, any idea on the engine sized and if they were 4x4? If that blue one is clean I might give them a call. Maybe the owner could send some pics.

Any recommendations for or against doing this to the front as well as the rear?

I've seen it done on the front, makes steering more difficult and probably adds more stress to the components, but I bet it also has a bit more give than a locker...

The more clutches you put in, and the easier it is for it to lock up, the more likely you are for it to grab at an inopportune time... LS differentials can get confused rather easily, since they're simple mechanisms.

I see on on the youtube description that you have Skyjacker Softride springs. How do you like them not for their lift capacity, but for their overall build, ride quality, and weight bearing capacity. I'd like to replace my springs someday with Softrides, but I'm not really looking for a lift. I'm more interested in the ride quality improvement (if the name holds true)

So more clutches in the rear is good, it might be better to get standard LS in the front? This is all really good info for my impending regear.
