Chrome tips always look better like on yours but I don't like all the chrome my truck has now so I just left them off. Like I said those old Military trucks were my inspiration and they sure didn't have any chrome!
you need one of those bumper stickers "chrome wont get ya home"

and ive said it before, ill say it again.Bill, your truck is phenomenal. not only is it beautiful, but it sounds GREAT!!!

Ha thanks Buddy, that's very nice of you! Sounds like a good bumper sticker. Did you think that up or have you really seen a sticker that said that?

Thanks Bill i try to keep her nice everynow and then. I built like " extensions " to the place where the bumper mounts. It worked out pretty well just that the sides of the bumper seem to droop lower than the rest..... I just have it bolted on the truck through the toolbox. Its pretty sturdy but I just dont like how it decided to start leaning back all of a sudden. From the front of the truck you really cant tell but if you look at the side shot of one of the pictures you can see the leaning

Why is it leaning? Hit a couple low hanging tree limbs while beating on the trails?

Tell me how you did the bumper brackets. Maybe it will give me some ideas about mine!

I think they are equivalent to a 30.5 inch tire. Or at least the calulators are telling me.
Equivalent

I cant believe that 8.8 rear axle is taking the abuse of the 460 and 37" tires. I blew my 8.8 twice in my lightning so far

Nevermind. i see it is a 9" now
