Jacked the rear end of my truck up from the center of the differential and noticed the passenger side rear tire lifted off the floor approx 2" before the driver side started to lift?
My tuck does that too, its normal for 1 side to lift up first. My mustang even does it. Does it sit level? If so your fine, but do as QL2 and ck for rusted out shackles/perches.
Yea both of my perches were rotted through, and the springs were sitting on the bed. I had alot of weight in the bed also, didnt even dent the bottom. I noticed when I was powerwashing off after plowing. But yea if it sits level then your fine.
Thats the problem I have now its sitts on a tilt towards the driver side. I want it level again! I put a complete set of 2.5" springs in last year I got from a wrecking yard they had an extra leaf in the set, which is what I wanted, maybe they were weak?
Might be, but I dont think so. My mustang with all new springs and shocks sits a little lower on the drivers side. When I wash it, the rain puddles in the wing on the drivers side. You know how the fox mustang gt wing is?
dj, you might want to look at www.suspensionconnection.com they have 2.5 lift kits and they have drop brackets with them. i do not have this lift so i do not know how good or nothing. see ya..........
hey I'm showing my age now but back in the day we would pull the leaf springs separate them sand and paint put felt paper or roof paper between them and re clamp and bolt them back in-get a few inches then-believe it or not-oh forgot spray the poop out of them with wd 40 or what ever we had-grease or what ever!!!hey it worked!!!!!redneck way!!! if you got a sagging problem side to side I would check a junk yard-well recycle yard-check the height before you commit to the sale!!!!go to a pull it your self deal if you got one-if not let me know-i got 4 sitting in my yard-i'll check and pull them for you!!!cheap and you pay shipping!!!
