I have a 2006 supercrew and since I've owned it, i've had problems with my running lights - they don't work. My stop lights and turn signals work just fine. It happens on every trailer I pull. I've tried switching the half ISO relay #R201 in my manual with another one and nothing happens. Is this the wrong relay or is there something else wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have been reviewing the wiring information on the trailer light circuit and I going off the assumption the truck in question has the 7 Pin connector...
1. relay # R201 is correct for the trailer marker lamps
2. Fuse # 10 is for the marker lights & the reverse lights (on trailer) "20 amp"
3. 7 Pin connector at rear Brown wire with White tracer is for the the
marker light circuit. In the 7 Pin connector the pin at the top left
(looking into the plug) is for the marker lights. Top right pin will be for
the back-up light circuit
4. The circuit should be hot at the relay at all times with the relay being
switched on/off with the headlight switch.
About all that can be done at this point is to start at the rear and work toward the front...
Yes that helped. It was the #10 fuse. I guess that when I saw it in the book I saw the relay and didn't think about the fact that it was listed under the #10 fuse. Thank you very much.
