I got a 77 f150 that I may add fuel injection to and I would have to add a return line couldnt I just tee into the rubber vent hose that goes into the filler neck and utilize it or would that not work. I am just not sure if the metal is thick enough in the tank to tap it for threads to add a fitting.
You could drill a hole in the tank and put in a rubber seal with a fitting. But you would have to take the tank out and drain it...I dont see any prob with putting a T in your vent hose either
hey thanks guys that will make it much easier installing the fuel injection. I just didnt like the fact of not having much meat there to thread anything.
when you install it in to the filler neck make sure you bend it at 90 deg and point it towards the tank.. also put it as low as possable mine interferes with my pumping of fuel somtimes.
I wasnt going to put it directly in the filler neck I was going to tee into the smaller rubber vent line coming out of the sending unit that tees in to the filler neck.
