Hello, so Im in the middle of doing this mod and while I was looking at the placement of the return line and noticed that according to the instructions it returns to the back of the tank, which is closer to the pickup than if the return was routed towards the front of the tank. Would be curious as to how many of you add the extra bend in the tubing and sent the return towards the front of the tank. I would think by sending towards the front it would give the fuel a little more time for the air to dissipate. What do you guys think? Brice
Doesnt really matter... as long as it diverts it away from the pickup foot area. Air bubbles are going to start floating up to the top as soon as they get in the tank.
Some of us just used the rubber hose that was on the mixing chamber for a diverter. Seems to be working great.
Thanks for the reply, It just got me thinking because of the gas turbines I work with the oil return is as far away from the pickup because of the air in the oil. It just gives it a little more time to dissipate. Thanks again.
I made my own stainless lines, and ran a long line toward the front of the tank to get the return bubbles far away from the pickup. It worked well and the engine is quieter and when I monitored the bubbles in the (clear) drain hose I added to the fuel bowl, they are all gone.
Hello,
Can you guys tell me why when doing this mod we need to use a new suction hose? I guess I'm not seeing a reason for it unless your supply has some wear spots which mine doesn't. Thanks for the help.
