2008 power fold / telescoping mirrors

I am interested to know if anyone has tried swapping the manual telescoping mirrors for the new powerscope mirrors?

They sell aftermarket kits for the conversion, but they are not cheap. Around $1000

any idea where you have found this kit? I can't imaging that taking the powerscope mirrors and installing them on a 2008 sd with just power mirrors should be difficult. I think the wiring is there you just have to add the switch and change the mirror. I hope to find someone who has tried.

They are not aftermarket.. Dfuser only sells FORD OEM Mirrors, reason they are expensive. I have a set and love em!

that switch is ugly, i would take my chances swapping everything over from the ford parts bin and pay the extra money

I've already looked into using the 08 Switches.. The standard Mirror Switch will fit the door.. However the one for trucks with Power Extend/Fold won't work... It's too large for the area we have ot cram our switch in..

LOL well just switch it.. It can be done than.. You'll have to check if the wiring is in the door, if it isn't.. Just run it from switch.. It's the same work I do on 99-07's that want 2008 Mirrors on their truck.. Same thing I did on my 04 when I put 08 mirrors on.
