Parked my 00 EB Expy at an Eagles game last weekend and some animal it looks like tried bending as far as they could. Normally the cap opens to lets say a 90 degree angle as so you can take the cap off and put gas in. When I got there the thing was pushed so far it creased the quarter panel.
Don't really want to take it to a body shop, but was curious how exactly I can take it off to try and bend it back into place.
So you want to take off the gas cap/tank cover? Just open the cover up and you should see two bolts/screws near the hinge. you should be able to take it off once those screws are removed.
Now, if your quarter panel is creased or dented, you don't have to have it repainted.. There is a process called PDR (paintless dent repair). it shouldn't cost you much to have the crease fixed. Should be less than $100 for the PDR.
Easy to change like CCCULLEN states. They even have aluminum aftermarket covers if they screwed up the hinge, they go fo $100 or less. Much less for junkyard covers.
