I'd check with Summit...but I believe they use the 6.135" big-block C***
rod. Most stroker kits use a off-set ground crank where the rod-journal diameter has been reduced from the stock ford 2.5" down to a stock c*** diameter of 2.2"
That is a good thing as your less likley to spin a rod bearing at higher RPM's as your bearing diameter gets smaller (less drag/friction/heat). Also some 514 kits require a .080 over piston to achieve the 514 c.i. which means sonic checking engine blocks till you find one that will safely overbore that much. You should be able to find shops that sonic check for around $100-150 a block. Deen
