I am new to this forum. I am looking to install a 460 in my mustang. What year (s) engine to look for,I have been told to look for dove heads, I have been told to look for 68- 69 engines, will these engines take 11-1 comp ? street driven I will go with usual add on's cam, intake, headers, carb, de do advance curve etc. what is the over bore limit. Thanks

Any shortblock is a good block to start with. You have to remeber that the heads, cam and intake are used for scrap, Put a good set of heads intake, cam and headers and get ready and hit 550hp

Look for a pre '72 Lincold. Those things rip! If not a pre '72 T-bird or other large car, it's a 429 but a great engine nonetheless. True any shortblock is ok, it's the heads
