I have a 2006 f-250 It has metal shavings in power steering fluid. Has anyone else had this problem?

Nope...that's a new one! How did you discover the shavings?

Can you actually see thin shavings, or just very fine particles? And you were able to see them by just opening up the ps cap? Have you flushed the system and filtered them out? 80k on a '05 and just recently flushed ps with no problems. Good luck!

Bummer Dude! Who did the work? A dealership should be willing to help if they screwed the pooch to begin with.

My fluid seems to be low. it's barely on the stick when checking - do you just add regular power steering fluid to it or is it special?

I use Mobil Synthetic ATF with good results. '05 F250 Hopefully a verified flush will do the trick. Good luck!

You should flush it and install a filter into the return line.
