I have an 85 f150 with a 300 slightly modified, which I just did a duraspark II conversion on I ordered all new parts, but I bought a module off rock auto and from what I am reading now I think I jumped the gun. The gel lining is black not blue. Will this module work? Also I have a wiring diagram I found online and am planning to get a plymouth resistor(msd blaster 2 coil), plugs and some wires to make the wiring harness today. What gauge wire should I need?
Alright, those diagrams helped alot, I have all the wiring complete besides wiring to the ignition switch and the positive on the coil, I can't figue out which wiring goes where. I figure that on of them should only have a voltage reading when it is on start and the other should have one on start and run, does this make sense?

Use your old coil wire. I think it was red/green. The red power wire to the module can go to the fuse box, and the white wire to the module can go to the red/blue on the starter solenoid.

I just finished doing this, but how do I wire the red one to the fuse box, should I loop it back on itself? I dont understand.
Thanks,
Sean
Go to the store and get a fuse tap. It wraps around the fuse, and then you plug the fuse back in. Then you are left with a tab sticking out that you can slide a connector onto.
