I think I would like to level out the stance on my 06 2x2 reg cab V-10 F-250.
I always feel as if I am sitting on a forward tilt. In the past on my F-150 trucks I would use a set of lowering shackles. For the F-250 I was thinking of going with a 2" front coil spacer kit. Anyone tell me if I need to replace the front shocks if I do this? Will the front end need to be religned? How difficult is the install for a do it your self installation? Do I need a compression tool to compress the coil springs for installation and removal?
If any of you have done this, have you been pleased with the results.
I have also posted this question on another website that is much, much more diesel minded, now I thought I would post it here for my V-10 brothers to give me the true facts.
Thanks in advance,
Anyone tell me if I need to replace the front shocks if I do this?
YES...it is advised to replace the shocks with new longer shocks.

YES...anytime you mod the front-end...it should be checked and realigned. Adding the spacer should create a toe-in condition.

You will need to consult the instructions that come with the 2" front coil spacer kit. They are all similiar...and pretty easy.

Not if you release the spring compression while the spring is still installed. To do this...lift the truck by the axle high in the air. Then place jack stands under the frame of the truck near the front...and begin to lower the jack. It should get to a point when the spring is actually being stretched downward. At that point it should be fine to unbolt and remove. Of course...USE extreme caution!
IMO...just go to AutoZone or similiar...and rent the proper tool. It is safer...and free when you return the tool.
