ok forget about my headlights. The oil pressure warning light circuit: 12v coming from the ignition switch through the lamp to the "sender" looking for a ground which it finds when oil pressure is insufficient to keep the switch open, right? turn the key to on, light comes on. start the engine, oil pressure builds, ground is broken, lamp goes out.
the wire to the sender should always read 12v. am i right?
