Well from time to time my headlights don't seem to want to stay on, sometimes I think its the switch, recently replaced by the previous owner. I plan on replacing the headlight harness with one of those relay deals but tonight i noticed that my oil warning lamp was kind of ghosting in time (actually against) the flicker of my lights. No problem with oil level, checked it, but the oil pressure sending unit wire is a little roasted/frayed. Will replace that tomorrow. Disconnected that wire expecting to see the light come on but it didn't. Coincidence? Or conspiracy?
Ps i'm new here and have only had this truck for a month or so. BTW the oil filter is the kind that says FRAM on it. I've heard about those.

Headlights: What happens when you activate the floor mounted dimmer switch? Do the headlights go out? BAD dimmer switch.
generally no problem switching between brights and regular headlights but haven't tried it when lights are failing. will check that right away. it is intermittent trouble, and seems possibly brought on by freeway driving and i guess also rainy conditions. that switch is hanging out under the floorboard isn't it? hmm.
thanks bill for being such a terrific resource on this forum.
