I drive trains for a living......I get to play with the BIG Diesel engines daily. 4400 hp per motor. We sometimes have trains that have 18,000 tons. Only logical that I drive a Diesel truck right?

work as a paramedic in san bernadino county. overtime is what pays for my addiction, although i havent been working as much as i could. sometimes its nice to just relax a little bit. but working 48-72 hours a week normally doesnt leave much free time.

Wow this is really interesting... I'm The manager of a program called Monterey Bay Horsemanship & Therapeutic Center. We have a horsemanship/therapy center for people with physical and mostly mental disabilities. I do everything from train horses to some vet. stuff and then on rainy days I get to go fix fences and take the tractor out and fix drainage issues. I love it though wouldnt trade it for the world.
need I mention the 3 miles of private beach

The money was great, but not worth what I was missing.
It was a tropo site in Italy. That's not actually the site I worked at, but it was real similar. That one happens to be in southern Italy near Naples (Mount Vergine). I worked at one further north. I don't have any good pics like that of my site, but they all kind of look the same...

All the tropo links are gone. I guess the BW folks want today can't be done too well over tropo. It's all satellite or fiber now. Back then, that job was the shiznit. Now all the sites are either torn down completely, or wasting away.

I know quite a few folks that work for Nortel (or used to) here in Richardson -- in fact, my office isn't a mile from it. I know what you mean about the travel. I used to log a lot of time on the road as well, but I get a lot less now because a lot of testing gets done locally. It's good to be able to actually come home most of the time instead of back to a hotel someplace.

I retired from Halliburton couple years ago. Now I own a feed and farm supply. I do not miss going offshore anymore. I had 25 years with them and now happy to work for myself.
