This site on a good day, this place is tire chains only in the winter

A tower we built

Yes, two way radio technicians can run skid loaders too, we just have issues spelling. I love this machine, JD 280 90 HP 4.5L turbo skid loader 75 HP hydrolic system. 12MPH in high range, and has a tipping load capacity of 7k . Its one impressive machine at 9200 lbs!

Television editor....Been doing it for about 7 years. However, I hope to make the 60 acres my grandparents bought 30 years ago in New York state a working farm again. A TV editor that dreams of being a farmer...sounds crazy huh?

I know exactly what you mean. Here's what the site looked like in the winter...

I do fairly frequent business day-trips for my company to some regional clients, and can use my truck for the close in (within 90 miles) locations. The reimbursement obviously covers more tahn my fuel, so all the extra is split into two halves and sent to two separate bank accounts... half for future maintenance and half for PMS.

This worked well all of last year, but increased fuel prices and the "new" V10 in my wife's Excursion now has me sending 100% of my PMS money into the check account just to cover fuel costs... until I can ditch the gasser Ex and replace it with a 7.3L Ex in the next two months, anyway.

Use to work for Lucent until telecom dried up for the young guy with little seniority. Just quit the most enjoyable job with the railroad due to poor lifestyle for family.

I'm stilling riding the rails but more vertically as an elevator technician.

Telephone cable splicer here, former HV lineman. Pretty much what I do now is keep air pressure on the underground cables. Like was said earlier, you ain't gonna get rich at the phone factory, but sometimes there is a little extra for PMs...

Dang Joe, did you get hazardous duty pay for the winter months? Where was that? Since we have so many telecom guys here; before getting this Central Office Tech postion (CenturyTel) I used to be one of Nortel's road warriors. I spent about 270 days a year on the road, but after being gone on one three week trip and coming home to my then 15 month old who wouldn't let me hold him I decided that it was time for a change. The money was great, but not worth what I was missing.

I am a chiropractor and own my own practice. My wife has a very good paying job in hospital administration but she hates it. I am currently trying to grow my practice large enough to allow her to back off and slowly transition into an office manager role at my practice.

Living at home, no rent or house payment, no bills except for insurance, and free room and board. Hell yeah i'm taking advantage of it, and im spending my money on the truck while i still can.

General construction laborer working for a commercial builder. I do just about anything on a job site, sweeping and cleaning, carpentry, pouring concrete, equipment operation and everything in between. Usually overtime pays for PMS, but it has slowed down a little since winter settled in.

Are you spending your allowance, or do you work for your PMS?

What a small world. I work for a company that has the BTS contract for a USAF base.
I'm the lead telephone tech. Used to do installs and repairs, then moved to this position. Just a bunch of office work now. Never thought that bein' in charge would have so much stress to go with it. Probably my best perk is the '03 F-350 CC LWB 2wd that I get to drive. Heck, that's what gave me the fever to get my '00 F-250 CC SWB 4x4.
