I really want to spice up my dash with some round guages it would have to be custom made I know I was wanting to know if anyone else has gotten the same urge and made a custom dash or even push button starting or toggle start -- anything!. Lets see some pics if ya got 'em
Still working on mine, it will be a little while before it is ready for pictures.
I am installing a 93 Lincoln Mark 8 dash in my 79, it is semi mounted now while I am fabbing the firewall for the plenum, brake booster, steering column and wiring harness needed to operate that massive looking 4.6 DOHC engine.
I know that this is not quite what you might have had in mind, but it will be different.
you can order a gauge incert that is aluminum and allows five round gauges and led turn signal indicatrs and high beam indicator. I ordered dolphin gauges and panel from a sponsor not sure who but found it on here.
I have a few pics I have collected to give me ideas when I do mine, but they are just like the aluminum one posted above. If people want to see them I can put them in my gallery.
I gutted the stock gauge pod and put the speedo and fuel gauge in, LED's for turn signals and high beam. The Monster tach wouldn't fit without larger surgery so it's still on the steering column for now.
Where did you get the steering wheel from and how much? Does it bolt right up? The wheel on my '77 I am bringing back to life is cracked in 100000 pieces! and a replacement is way too much $
Thanks! Looks good

I have to say out of just about all I've seen, I like 77460Ford's the best. It's not overly flashy and it's practical, plus the switch covers look badass. Not a big fan of the giant tach though.
Once I get into interior more than mechanical, I plan on copying his.
The steering wheel is a Grant, a straight bolt on. If you check the website you'll see a really large selection in design and sizes (and price). It also allowed the mounting of my nitrous switches.

That is one Bad *** truck. The drivetrain/exterior/interior is sweet as hell!! That thing must be a beast especially on Nitrous! I love your nitro "HOLY ****" button. I LOVE your whole dash setup with the guages, switches, lights, etc. U got any plans or eny info to give me for mine?!?
It was mostly trial and error. I just kept gutting the back panel so the gauges would fit. I used the dimensions from Autometer for gauge placement and then cut and glued lexan panels that fit into the gauge pod, then just sprayed them a matt black. Having the stock plastic panel over the gauges keeps them clean and dust free. Wiring the blinkers and high beam was just a matter of matching the proper wires to the ones in the harness. The speedo requires a different cable if you go that route (Autometer gives a number for the supplier, I was pleased with it). The normal gauge circuit board is now gone.
Several folks have tried different layouts and if you keep searching you'll find endless ideas to help you design what appeals to you.
77460FORD You did a nice job on the dash and all. I ordered the after market cluster with DOLPHIN gauges because I wanted tach and speedo and then the four smaller gauges all contained in the dash and not hanging down to bash my knees on. And I like the cleaner look of the gauges mounted in the dash not under and all. But most deff like the switches with the covers on!
