Gauge clusters are one thing but has anyone done anything with the dash pad? I like the stock gauges and dash layout out i wish i didn't have the original dash pad, cracked and beat.

Dash pads are easy to recover pick out your material and get some spray adhesive if you really want to get creative foams, fiber glass, and metal scraps can be a blast. But when picking out your cover material remember the sun it can fade alot of materials quickly.
Rod - that looks pretty cool, but do you have any trouble seeing the gauges? I can't tell from this pic, but do the gauges end up anlging down too much?
Yeah thats what I dont want to happen. I kinda want them tilted up. And out from underneath the dash a little. I am gonna have to just fab one up. I want the tach as well. 77460ford that dash is awsome I think switches and guages just make it all look cool. That is the look I am really going for. I dont think I want the dividers from the stock cluster though but each to their own I guess. Nice pics keep'm coming.
The gauges are in the exact same place and angle as the factory ones. I removed the back of the cluster with a dremel and fabricated a plate that screwed onto the back of the cluster using the stock hardware and painted it all flat black. When installed, everthing looks factory except the gauges are different. The new version will have the two dividers in both the bezel and cluster removed and a tach will sit right next to the speedo between the other four gauges. It will kinda end up looking like the ausie version in the other tread but with better gauges.
Nice Job on the cluster. From the looks of your pic compared to the cluster plate you can buy that mounts to the front of the bezel, yours looks like the best angle of viewing by using the stock cluster.
All the clusters I have seen so far are really cool. I think everyone did a great job on their clusters. Great pics for future reference for if/when I decide to modify mine.
Where did you get the steering wheel from and how much? Does it bolt right up? The wheel on my '77 I am bringing back to life is cracked in 100000 pieces! and a replacement is way too much $
Thanks! Looks good
I have a used wheel if you are interested PM me. It's the 78-79 style though.
