Door Ajar????

This won't go out. Plus it leaves the interior lights on too? Nothing is keeping any door open! WTF???

I too had this problem a few mornings ago. I figured it had something to do with the icy weather we have had but my door jams appeared clean and dry. After a couple hours of driving it started working properly. Dan

I clean out the latch mechanism with alchohol. I get a rag and a screwdriver and put the rag over the end of the screwdriver, wet the rag with the alchohol and stick the end of the screwdriver covered with the rag into the latch mechanism. I do this to all my doors including the liftgate.

The one that has given me the most 'hits' has been the rear barn doors or hatch...

When I get a door open chime...that's the first three I open and close again...99% of the time it clears the signal...

More than likely the back glass. I just went in and disconnected my rear door latch sensors in the glass and BAM no more dome lights and door ajar light, only draw back is you have no interior light when you open glass

where is the connection to the sensors?

I cleaned what I thought were the sensors (two silver strips on each side) in the back and the light went out. This morning the light came back on.

Have you cleaned the rest of the sensors on the other doors?

I get that sometimes from the back glass also. Needs to be slammed a little.

[QUOTE=Jughead]where is the connection to the sensors?QUOTE]

You have to take off handle and plastic piece on inside of glass lift gate, the sensors are a little black plug on either side, they are kinda a pain in the *** to get to if you have big hands, they are right were the latch is
