Weight rating questions...

Afternoon all....

I'm shopping for an F250, and some questions arose.

Where can I find what a truck is rated for towing and payload?

What's the difference with a reg. duty and "heavy duty" truck?

and what's GVWR?

I will be landscaping with this truck, and I would like to know what it will be capable of.

Mine is an HD and has a GVWR of 8600 lbs. All the data is in the drivers side door jam sticker.

What kind of weight do you want to haul and how big of trailer??

When in doubt--get the heaviest version. It wouldnt be that much more expensive in price nor upkeep. Not when the truck is a 87 to 97 model year .
The only down side to a high capacity/heavy duty truck is the hard ride when empty!!
