I have to agree with utahtom, Cooper is putting out some excellent tires these days. Cooper also owns and manufactures many of the other popular tire brands within the truck/4x4 market. Mickey Thompson, Pro Comp and Dick Cepek...
I run the Pro Comp Xtreme A/T, but the ATR would be a great general use tire if you are looking for somthing less agressive. The ATR always seems to get positive treadwear, traction, and handling reviews from SD owners.
my next door neighbor has run a couple sets of Cooper ATR's and loves them. I am thinking of going with the Cooper STT's on my next set. They are mega-aggressive! But my truck isn't my daily driver, just my fun vehicle
i have cooper stt's on my sd first set was 265/75/16 just took them off they had 45k on em and still had about 3/32 left on them now my new stt's are 285's. for winter i got a set of 20x10 american racing dominators this week. bet ya can't guess whats goin on them fter the leveling kit
There excellent tires ive got 35x12.50x18 stts and there great look cool have good traction and wearability there a little niosy but heck there mud tires!! and my truck is my daily driver, (05 F250 PSD) Plus there made in Findlay OHIO (just down the road from me I get some dang good deals on em bein that close) in the good ole USA!!!!!
