462/460 similarities-differences?
I have a chance to pick up a 67 Lincoln with a 462.Ive never even heard of a 462 and I havent seen the car but I know it runs.How similar are the 462 and 460?Same bellhousing pattern/parts interchange etc?I'd like to put it in my 78 F-250 4X4 as long as its similar.Thanks for any help.

I think the 462 is from an entirely different engine family. MEL maybe? I really don't know which. Someone here is bound to know for certain though.

Keep looking. They are Two completely different engines.
