Well after countless hours of deliberating over which colour to paint my pickup, I have decided to go with this yellow, I know colour is a personal choice and many of you are red fans, but honestly there are too many red ones out there. So come end of the month my pick up will looking like this.
Hey man, that looks good! Love the wheels and tires! I got a buddy who says" that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors" there's something for everyone. When I first started on my '56 my dad wanted me to paint it red, he just loves red. I told him that at the Supernats the most popular color on these old trucks is red. I wanted to be different. So from day one, my color choice was white with turqouise fenders. I gotta be me!!
Yep!
can't go wrong with yellow........super easy maintainance, always looks clean, sets off chrome nicely. I painted my VW Diesel Eurovan camper yellow,(94 Pontiac Jamaican Yellow) never regretted it, specially with the abuse it takes, gets walked on, driven thru the bush boats & bikes thrown on top skis leaned on it & still looks real good from a few feet.....just don't look to close it's really scratched up.

Well after countless hours of deliberating over which colour to paint my pickup,
Amazing how hard or easy this decision is. Some just 'know', others think and think. I bet that graphic just doesn't say what you mean!..
On mine, we have known the color since shortly after we got it.. we saw an advert in custom classic trucks and poof that was it!. after 6 years I finally found the guy that did the truck in the advert, and found the paint.. tried it out.. wow!.. oops, its the hardest, most expensive (short of the cameleon paint), great for a show car, but mine will be a driver!..
spent this last year trying to talk myself out of it.. tried all kinds of different colors.. painted every spare body part I had, save the extra sand blast damaged hood. finally gave up, back to the original green.
Mine is in paint now, doing it the hard way, all apart. I know I am as anxious as you are..
I have owned a couple of yellow cars and liked each of them. In fact, now as I am looking for an appropriate color for my latest 56 build, the new Mustang has a yellow that has really caught my eye. The only thing that I would add is a nice topcoat of pearlized clear...just to spice things up a bit.

Charlie, you will be pleasantly surprised what a low concentration of the right color of pearl does to yellow. I have a 4% murano in my mix of 2002 VW sunflower in the paint though. It looks different in sun, shade, halogen lights, sodium lights, fluorescent, and overcast.
