Fords New Remote Starter Issues
I Just Had A Remote Starter (powercode Gold) Installed Through The Dealer Yesterday. Now I Am Sure The Problems Im Having Are User Issues. But There Are Other Symptoms:
1. My Reverse Bumper Sensors Were On Full Blast With Nothing Behind Me. I Turned The Truck Off And Cleaned Off The Sensors And The Issue Remained. Note, This Happened The First Time I Was In Reverse After Having The Starter Installed.
2. The User Guide States After Remotely Starting The Vehicle To Press The "key" (start Button) A Second Time To Activate The Defrosters. I Dont Have A Rear Defroster, But I Do Have Mirror Defrosters, Same Button, But They Do Not Turn On When I Press The "key" Button A Second Time. Please Advise.
3. The Book States That The "it" System Is Set To Medium. It Does Not Say If There Are 3 Settings, I.e. Low, Med, Hi....or If There Are Several Settings In Between. Also What Is The Difference Between Lite Touch And Full Shock?
4. The Book Does Not Explain How To Change The Remote Run Time From 10 Min To 15 Min. Please Advise.

take it back to the installer and have them fix it.
2. that is an optional hookup. You can hook up the heated mirrors, I did that on my own for my truck (I don't have the rear defroster). I'm guessing they didn't tap into that wire for you.
4. You have to get into the programming options in order to access the "option banks". The installer should have put the program/valet button mounted somewhere under your dash.
