Aftermarket GPS install?
Hey fellas, I hope everybody Holidays were joyous. I need your help, I want to hard wire my TOM TOM in my Expy. I want to use the power supply from the electrochromatic rear view mirror, does any body know which wire is the POWER and which is the NEG. Any info would be great.

I believe there are three or four going into the back of that thing. I think the BK/LB is the ground and the WH/LB is the switched +. Verify with a multimeter, mine is an '06.

I just wired a new 12v receptacle under the dash on the left side against the firewall and ran my power wire down the A pillar. I mounted the Garmin in the upper left corner of the window. As soon as I turn the key on the garmin gets power. Pretty simple and you end up using all the cord vs having to deal with it on a short run to the mirror. It is a very clean install with no visible wiring.

I'm not sure. I had the stereo installer do it. Just get a test light to find one. It really works nice. I put a double 12v plug in so the radar detector is wired the same way. Everything is hidden and comes on with the key.
