Broncos with ZF tranny?

Anybody know if there were any 351 Broncos with the ZF 5 speed tranny in them?

Just wondering because I'm looking for a donor rig to put a 5 speed manual in my truck. There is a yard near by that says he has quite a few early 90s Broncos for parts.

No sir, the Bronco's were all 1/2 trucks and the ZF was only used in 3/4 ton and up.

Not to say you couldn't put a ZF in a Bronco. It's a common swap.

I found a common mod of a NV4500 in these trucks on the web somewhere.... Anybody done this one? looked pretty good. They claimed it was an upgrade to the ZF.

Yea I'm with ya, I think that would be easier but it did look pretty sweet, and $$$. There's no dought about the NV4500 durability though.

In 1988 and that year only, you could get an F-150 with a ZF, but it had to be special ordered. I don't know if this applies to Broncos or not, but it will be much easier to find one in a HD pickup.

That's kinda what I'm looking for in a donor truck... Nothing wrong with my E4OD yet I'm just paranoid. So far it's been good. Just looking for the right deal on a donor rig.
