yea.. guys well i finally got all the parts around.. i just got a 93 extended cab with the back windows vents and such... literally gorgous interior...as well only missing a head liner but thats fine im gonna do something custom with that... more then likely... but i also located a tranny because my truck now is a 5 spd... standard... and the cab i got ... is a automatic cab... only thing the cab is missing is the front drivers buckets... so i figured... im either gonna bolt a c-6 up to it.. or a E4OD.... i think is the one with over drive ????..... off of a 302.... i also ... just picked up my new box.. thats im gonna section to fit.... its flawless besides one little dent on the front of the box... other then that.. its in gorgous shape... and i got it for free =D...... and as for the cab.... its in pristine shape body wise... besides the fact... the cab corners are starting to get a lil soft.. but there not through yet... so ... it will be ok... everything else is mint..... and i got that for a 85 diesel core support =D..... Oh... and by the way .. with the box i got a functional.. mint tailgate... and a custom tube bumper =D... so .. so far so good guys... just waiting on the snow to go before i start work... also this truck already has a tube winch/prerunner bumper on it i made....

but yes keep in mind everything else on it is as it came from factory...
Heres What Its in the makings of becoming
- 1993 extended cab..
- 300- I6 with some mods.. air filter ...Header... And maybe cam
- either C-6 Or E4OD Auto Tranny with a shift kit of course..
- 2.5" Suspension lift.. why 2.5 inches you say.. well because my suspension is shot.. and i have a 2.5 inch i got for free thats new.. lol And Possibly 3"Body..."Doubtful on the body lift tho
- Either 31x11.50x15 or 33x13.50x15 super swamper LTB's
-single in dual outlet flowmaster 40 series muffler... "sorry everything of mine has to have duals whether its sounds good or not"
- Both of my custom tube pre-runner bumpers with winches..and lights..And Cutom Roll Bars
- 130 amp alternator along with two 850 CCA Batteries...
- 9" Rear End out of a early 80's pickup which will get a Posi-Locker and will get 3.73 gears along with the front end Except for the posi locker
now thats what i have so far guys besides misc.... parts as well that will just basically make the looks better... tell me what you think... but also keep in mind this is gonna be a daily driver/ occasional off roader....

As for your original question about shortening the bed, have you considered simply bobbing the bed and building a flatbed, or lockbox style compartment? Leaves lots of room for gear. Just have to fab some sort of wheel wells to keep it street legal.

Im never a fan of body lifts either...
yea i thought about just building a custom box... just for the shear fact of hiding gear and so on and so fourth.... but..what i was thinking is ill try the shorty box first see how that turns out.. and looks and if it looks good .. leave it.. because i have 2 short box .... boxs to use.. to use... plus... if i dont like it.. and build and custom box... then if i ever sell the truck... i can keep the custom box.. and throw the stubby one on hehehhe..... Oh and yes.. its 4x4... front end is completely brand new... cost me $400 To rebuild ... everything
yep.... because the guy i got the truck off of... killed all the wheel bearings and stock hubs.. so i said screw it .. im not pulling this thing back apart in a month or 2.. so yea... the 44 is all brand new... got superwinch gold series lock outs on it 2 =D
Why not change cab out to MAnual . You got everything .
because.... i dunno every truck i have had... is a manual... and the extended cab i have is already all setup for ... auto... so why mess with it.. i love manual dont get me wrong but i like auto way better for mudding and such... on one can shift as fast as a auto.. so ... what the heck right
